This course will walk students through the development of their own business plan while exploring and developing the skills needed to become an entrepreneur. Various projects throughout the course will also help students develop skills in leadership, selling, promotion, management, and small business ownership. Computer skills are a must, as this class requires the use of various software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, the Internet, as well as various computerized business simulations. The first half of this class uses a textbook while the second half is primarily project oriented.
